Birds in Newfoundland

A day I will never forget.

I said, " stop the car ! "

I sat for an hour on the beach,

 watching this eagle feed.

Looking at his claws,

I imagined this strong creatures talons in me.

Thank GOD this eagle loved the attention 

and loved my company.

He posed so proudly on the rock beach, then it flew up into the top of this tree.

A second eagle came on the scene and tried to steal this prime spot I suppose to spy prey.
